The fifth edition of the photography project Retrats de la Gent del Barri exhibits 45 photographs of models and photographers from Parc i la Llacuna del Poblenou
The Associació Quei15/espaicreatiu organises the project «RETRATS de la GENT del BARRI», a commercial, cultural, inclusive and creative initiative. It is an open call in which 8 photographers and 32 models, residents of the Parc i la Llacuna del Poblenou neighbourhood in Barcelona's Sant Martí district, have the chance to be the protagonists.
Those who take part as photographers get a professional set and creative freedom. Those who take part as models show themselves off under the lights of the professional set put up for the occasion at the neighbourhood community centre or in the space of one of its shops.
The photographs, selected according to their authors' own criteria and printed at a professional lab on 30 x 40 cm photographic paper, are exhibited for a month inside, in display cases and in the shop windows of the businesses taking part in the project.
On opening day, all participants, models and photographers receive a copy of their portraits as a thank-you for their work.
