Egg tempera is one of the oldest painting techniques, dating back long before oil painting: pigments, water and egg yolk are transformed into a paint full of possibilities.
You will prepare your own colours from natural pigments, learn how to make the egg emulsion, discover how an image is built up layer by layer, and see how transparencies, glazes and textures appear.
An approach to the technique through experimentation: from pigment to brush, from colour to image.
No prior experience needed. Just curiosity and a willingness to let colour surround you.
